Hudson lives in Saint Simons Island, Georgia with his wife, Katherine, and their three children. A Tallahassee, Florida native, Hudson attended the University of Georgia, where he was an athlete on the golf team. During his collegiate career, he was a three-time All-American and graduated in 2011.

Following graduation, Hudson spent two years competing on the Nationwide Tour, earning one victory before moving on to the PGA Tour. Over the course of nine seasons on the PGA Tour, he secured three wins. Hudson later played for three seasons on the LIV Golf tour start up.

In February 2025, Hudson transitioned from professional golf to joining Hathaway Companies. Hudson is now working on fundraising for Lynx Capital while collaborating with the Hathaway Development Team.
